On most Eagle safe models manufactured from 2016 onward, entering the correct code will immediately stop the ringing and unlock the safe, even if the 3-minute lockout period hasn't fully finished.

Since Eagle Safes often rebrand locks from and S&G (Sargent & Greenleaf) , here’s the most common complete set of error codes you’ll encounter.

A loose wire harness inside the door, moisture damage, or a static electricity shock to the keypad.

Over time, items inside your safe can shift and press against the door, or the heavy fire-safe door bolts can sag. This creates friction and physical pressure against the locking mechanism. As you type the final digit of your code, push hard against the safe door with your knee or shoulder. This relieves the physical stress on the locking bolt, allowing the small internal motor to slide it open cleanly.
