The peak of “Summer Vacation 2” was a three-day “Staycation Stay-over.” We pushed all the furniture in the living room against the walls, set up two tents indoors, and brought in inflatable palm trees. We played video games on the 80-inch TV, followed by a horror movie marathon, and finally a 2 AM pancake breakfast. We didn’t travel anywhere, yet we felt like we were on a different planet.
