X11-Basic is a dialect of the BASIC programming language with graphics, sound and more.
The syntax is most similar to GFA-Basic on the ATARI-ST. It is a structured dialect with no line numbers. X11-Basic supports complex numbers, big integers and big integer arithmetrics.
X11-Basic is available for UNIX workstations, Linux, Android, MAC-OSX, as well as for MS-WINDOWS. It is also available for the ATARI ST, TomTom car navigation systems and the Raspberry Pi.
A BASIC compiler is included so that you can make stand-alone binaries out of your programs (on all platforms except for Android). The X11-Basic interpreter is fast and small.
Always back up your radio's original configuration before making changes. Reading the Radio (Backing Up) Turn off the GP88S radio.
✅ Backup original codeplug saved on PC. ✅ Radio battery fully charged or on external power. ✅ Running 32-bit Windows (or VM). ✅ COM port selected and confirmed. ✅ Bandwidth & frequencies legally allowed.
The remains a widely utilized, highly rugged analog two-way radio favored by logistics teams, security personnel, and radio enthusiasts world-wide. To customize frequencies, configure privacy codes, or manage channel zones on this legacy transceiver, you must use the proprietary Motorola GP88s programming software (often referred to as Customer Programming Software or CPS).
Once read, immediately click File > Save As and save this original configuration file (often called a codeplug) as a backup. Step 5: Edit Frequencies and Settings motorola gp88s programming software
How to Program Motorola Two-Way Radios (CPS & MOTOTBRO Guide)
Programming the radio requires a physical connection between a computer and the radio.
Input your licensed frequencies into the RX and TX columns for your designated channels. Adjust the columns if you require privacy codes. Always back up your radio's original configuration before
Upgrade your software version to match or exceed the radio's firmware release. Modern 64-bit operating system incompatibility.
Set channel power to "High" for maximum range or "Low" to preserve battery life. 5. Write Data to the Radio

Never program a radio with a low battery. If the radio dies mid-write, the codeplug can become corrupted, resulting in a permanently "bricked" radio that requires component-level flashing.
For the GP88s, the software is typically a Windows-based utility (often referred to as the or HT Series software ) that allows you to: Assign frequencies (VHF or UHF) to specific channels. Set PL/DPL tones (Privacy Codes) to eliminate interference.
